doTERRA oils and ideas for uses

Are you a fan of essential oils?

We have started using them and loving how they work (and smell)... so far the easy air vapor stick and our new petal diffuser and easy air oil have been in constant use in our house, and have helped combat our head colds. For us, I covered the children’s chest in the vapor stick, which really helped clear their noses and (I believe) assisted in a good nights sleep. We also diffused easy air oil throughout the house, and I also dropped 2 drops of easy air oil in the shower as a quick way to diffuse the easy air with the steam!

Another oil we have added to the site is clove oil. I’ve started using this as a mouth gargle in the evenings, and mornings. According to doTERRA, clove oil is also good for teething. Check out the video here: https://goo.gl/images/yPvz6C

Please note: Clove oil should only be used for children 2+ years of age. Before application, perform a patch test by applying a small amount of diluted essential oil to a baby’s leg or arm, and wait to see if there is a reaction. If there is no reaction, it’s likely safe to apply the oil blend more generally. Essential oils should never be ingested.

What else can you do with oils?

We have also recently made play dough and scented it. We made purple and scented with lavender, orange and scented with on guard and yellow play dough scented with lemon oil. Was a fun activity for the kids and the house smelt amazing.

We also love lavender for its relaxing and sleep inducing aroma.

Another important oil in our house is tea tree oil. We spray our Miss 4’s hair each morning before pre school in an effort to keep nits away (it is diluted with water in s spray bottle).

Note: I am not an expert in aromatherapy, the above is just how we use the oils in our home and advice we have taken from the doTERRA website.
